This is an alternate take of a song from my last CD. Those of you familiar with it might notice this version is a little crisper, a little sharper than the official release and that’s because it was recorded an entire year later. In the end I released the muddier, more flawed version because it felt better to me sonically. How strange to think I’ve grown to prefer the nuances of basements and bedrooms over recording studios.
lyrics
Where do we go now?
Travelled 3,000 miles away from you
And I find myself in a strange place
This timezone's got me all fucked
And I want to call you up
The Graze is easily my favorite band in Seattle. Louis O'Callahan's writing style is right up my alley, it doesn't do him justice to say but he could be Kurt Cobain and Jeff Mangum's bastard child. The Way It Is
My Seattle friends Levi and Casey are two of the most talented musicians I know. Check out this wonderful album written and recorded in one weekend... The Way It Is
Seattle upstarts thread their surging power-pop with wistful nostalgia and softly-felt despair, exuding empathy as well as energy. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 24, 2019
