Load up on guns, bring your friends It's fun to lose and to pretend She's overboard and self-assured Oh, no, I know a dirty word Hello, Hello, Hello, How Low Hello, Hello, Hello With the lights out, it's less dangerous Here we are now, entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now, entertain us A mulatto An albino A mosquito My libido Yeah Hey... Yay I'm worse at what I do best And for this gift I feel blessed Our little group has always been And always will until the end Hello, Hello, Hello, How Low Hello, Hello, Hello With the lights out, it's less dangerous Here we are now, entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now, entertain us A mulatto An albino A mosquito My libido Yeah Hey... Yay And I forget just why I taste Oh, yeah, I guess it makes me smile I found it hard, it's hard to find Oh well, whatever, nevermind Hello, Hello, Hello, How Low Hello, Hello, Hello With the lights out, it's less dangerous Here we are now, entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now, entertain us A mulatto An albino A mosquito My libido Yeah a denial A denial!

Just about eighteen and twenty-five I left Tennessee very much alive I never would have got through the Arkansas mud If I hadn't been a-ridin on the Tennessee stud I had some trouble with my sweetheart's pa One of her brothers was a bad outlaw I sent her a letter by my Uncle Fud And I rode away on the Tennessee stud Chorus: The Tennessee stud was long and lean The color of the sun and his eyes were green He had the nerve and he had the blood And there never was a hoss like the Tennessee stud We drifted on down into no man's land We crossed the river called the Rio Grande I raced my hoss with the Spaniards bold Till I got me a skin full of silver and gold Me and a gambler we couldn't agree We got in a fight over Tennessee We jerked our guns, he fell with a thud And I got away on the Tennessee stud CHORUS We loped on back across Arkansas I whipped her brother and I whipped her pa I found that girl with the golden hair And she was ridin' on a Tennessee mare Pretty little baby on the cabin floor Little hoss colt playin' 'round the door I love the girl with golden hair And the Tennessee stud loves the Tennessee mare CHORUS

I was twenty one years when I wrote this song I'm twenty two now, but I won't be for long People ask when will you grow up to be a man But all the girls I loved at school Are already pushing prams I loved you then as I love you still Tho I put you on a pedestal, They put you on the pill I don't feel bad about letting you go I just feel sad about letting you know I don't want to change the world I'm not looking for a new England I'm just looking for another girl I loved the words you wrote to me But that was bloody yesterday I can't survive on what you send Every time you need a friend I saw two shooting stars last night I wished on them but they were only satellites Is it wrong to wish on space hardware I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care I don't want to change the world I'm not looking for a new England I'm just looking for another girl

I come home in the morning light My mother says when you gonna live your life right Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones And girls just want to have fun Oh girls just want to have fun The phone rings in the middle of the night My father yells what you gonna do with your life Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one But girls they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have-- That's all they really want Some fun When the working day is done Girls-- they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have fun Some boys take a beautiful girl And hide her away from the rest of the world I want to be the one to walk in the sun Oh girls they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have That's all they really want Some fun When the working day is done Girls--they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have fun, They want to have fun, They want to have fun...

I will forget you I will learn to live without you I will forget you, but only because I have to. And as I grow older I'm only more certain I know what love is: It's that graveled alley way On a hot summer's day where you used to live. But I will forget that and all of those nights we spent indoors and you were charming and clever and you placed all your tiles on those triple word scores. But I will forget you I will learn to live without you Yeah, I will forget you, I will I swear I will. Though I knew your face Long before I could ever see And I, I knew your name Before I could ever speak a word But I will forget you It will take all of my faith and my will, I will forget you, but only because I have to.

under your leaves I laid with wishes you'd call my name and bring me to you well so my thirst no longer is you know I'll do anything for you bring singing birds to your crown climb to the very top of you though I might fall but one day I must go to get myself a warmer coat I'll promise I'll be back real soon back under your leaves again

Creep 03:32
When you were here before, Couldn't look you in the eye, You're just like an angel, Your skin makes me cry; You float like a feather, In a beautiful world, I wish I was special, You're so fuckin' special; But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo, What the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here; I don't care if it hurts, I wanna have control, I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul; I want you to notice, When I'm not around, You're so fuckin' special, I wish I was special; But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo, What the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here, ohhhh, ohhhh She's running out again, She's running, She runs runs runs runs... Runs... Whatever makes you happy, Whatever you want, You're so fucking special, I wish I was special; But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo, What the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here, I don't belong here...

This one goes out to the one I love This one goes out to the one I've left behind A simple prop to occupy my time This one goes out to the one I love Fire!!! Fire!!! This one goes out to the one I love This one goes out to the one I've left behind Another prop has occupied my time This one goes out to the one I love

"The way I see it," he said "You just can't win it... Everybody's in it for their own gain You can't please 'em all There's always somebody calling you down I do my best And I do good business There's a lot of people asking for my time They're trying to get ahead They're trying to be a good friend of mine I was a free man in Paris I felt unfettered and alive There was nobody calling me up for favors And no one's future to decide You know I'd go back there tomorrow But for the work I've taken on Stoking the star maker machinery Behind the popular song I deal in dreamers And telephone screamers Lately I wonder what I do it for If l had my way I'd just walk through those doors And wander Down the Champs Elysees Going cafe to cabaret Thinking how I'll feel when I find That very good friend of mine I was a free man in Paris I felt unfettered and alive Nobody was calling me up for favors No one's future to decide You know I'd go back there tomorrow But for the work I've taken on Stoking the star maker machinery Behind the popular song."

Caroline laughs and it's raining all day She loves to be one of the girls She lives in the place in the side of our lives Where nothing is ever put straight She turns her self round and She smiles and she says This is it That's the end of the joke And loses herself in her dreaming and sleep And her lovers walk through in their coats Pretty in pink isn't she Pretty in pink Isn't she All of her lovers all talk of her notes And the flowers that they never sent And wasn't she easy And isn't she pretty in pink The one who insists he was first in the line Is the last to remember her name He's walking around in this dress that she wore She is gone but the joke's the same Pretty in pink isn't she Pretty in pink Isn't she Caroline talks to you softly sometimes She says "I love you" and "too much" She doesn't have anything you want to steal Well nothing you can touch She waves She buttons your shirt The traffic is waiting outside She hands you this coat She gives you her clothes These cars collide Pretty in pink isn't she Pretty in pink Isn't she *caroline's on the table screaming Confidence is in the sea And all their favorite rags are worn And other kinds of uniform They kid you you're really free And you know what you want to be Case of individuality Until tomorrow And everything you are you'll see In pure shiny buttons They put you in this gear And driveways broken Doorbell sings in chimes It plays anything goes Bells toll in rhyme

Sand 03:40
Young woman share your fire with me My heart is cold, my soul is free I am a stranger in your land A wandering man, call me sand Oh sir my fire is very small It will not warm thy heart at all But thee may take me by the hand Hold me and I'll call thee sand Young woman share your fire with me My heart is cold, my soul is free I am a stranger in your land A wandering man, call me sand At night when stars light up the sky Oh sir I dream my fire is high Oh taste these lips sir if you can Wandering man, I call thee sand Oh sir my fire is burning high If it should stop sir I would die A shooting star has crossed my land Wandering man She whispered sand Sand Young woman shared her fire with me Now warms herself with memory I was a stranger in her land A wandering man, she called me sand He was a stranger in my land A wandering man She called me sand

Ten years ago on a cold dark night Someone was killed 'neath the town hall lights There were few at the scene, but they all agreed That the slayer who ran, looked a lot like me Now she walks these hills, in a long black veil She visits my grave, when the night winds wail Nobody knows, nobody sees Nobody knows, but me The scaffold is high, and eternity's near She stood in the crowd, and shed not a tear But some times at night, when the cold wind moans In a long black veil, she cries over my bones Now she walks these hills, in a long black veil She visits my grave, when the night winds wail Nobody knows, nobody sees Nobody knows, but me The judge said son, what is your alibi If you were somewhere else, then you won't have to die I spoke not a word, though it meant my life I'd been in the arms of my best friends wife Now she walks these hills, in a long black veil She visits my grave, when the night winds wail Nobody knows, nobody sees Nobody knows, but me Nobody knows, nobody sees Nobody knows, but me

Good times for a change See, the luck I've had Can make a good man Turn bad So please please please Let me, let me, let me Let me get what I want This time Haven't had a dream in a long time See, the life I've had Can make a good man bad So for once in my life Let me get what I want Lord knows, it would be the first time Lord knows, it would be the first time

about

On February 10th 2008, I began posting rare and unreleased tracks from my personal collection of recordings on my website with the idea of keeping my band THE WAY IT IS in the front of people's minds on a weekly basis. I called the experiment THE WEEKLY WARBLE and continued posting semi-regularly until August 29th 2009 when I ran out of material.

Since officially pulling the plug on THE WAY IT IS a couple months ago I thought it'd be nice to post a collection of these tracks for any interested parties. Here are the cover songs I've recorded over the years.

If you're interested in my current musical project ELECTRIC DYLAN, you can find that here:
